The International Brotherhood of Teamsters have organized the following workers: First Student school bus drivers and aides in Mission Viejo and Irvine, California, Local 952, part time correctional facility officers of Bay County, Michigan, Local 214, around 600 drivers and dockworkers at UPS Freight terminal in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Local 776. Since the beginning of the year close to 12,400 UPS Freight workers from across the country have joined the Teamsters. Also, First Student bus drivers, monitors, and dispatchers in Cincinnati, Ohio are now members of Local 100 and workers of the Lake County, Illinois Circuit Court Clerk's office officially voted to join the IBT. Healthcare workers at the Stanford Hospital and Clinics and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital in California, have voted to have a voice on the job with Service Employees International Union, United Healthcare Workers-West.

Approximately 180 dispatchers with Southwest Airlines in Texas have voted to join the Transport Workers Union Local 550. Workers at Avis car rental at the Denver, Colorado, International Airport have voted to join the Communications Workers of America along with over 100 call center workers at AT&T Mobility in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, have joined through majority sign-up. Nearly 100 workers with the Transportation Security Administration at Los Angeles, California International Airport have joined American Federation of Government Employees. Attorneys with the Public Defender and Criminal Defense Departments of Bay County, Michigan will be represented by AFSCME Council 25, and close to 1,000 administrators for the state of Illinois are now members of Council 31.

The California Public Employment Relations Board has certified the United Auto Workers as representative for the aproximately 5,000 University of California postdoctoral researchers. Quality assurance workers for Northrop Gruman Ship Systems in Pascagula, Mississippi, will now have a voice on the job with the International Association of Machinists, as will bus drivers and monitors for First Student in Phoenix, Arizona. At the Mountain Home Air Force base in Boise, Idaho, maintenance and staff workers have joined the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 291 and workers at the AES Ironwood power plant in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, Local 777. Through majority sign-up, workers at AT&T Mobility in Boardman, Ohio are now members of the Communication Workers of America, Local 4320, and city workers in Stillwater, Oklahoma, Local 6012. Approximately 266 city workers in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma have a voice on the job with the Communication Workers of America Local 6012 and through majority sign-up 350 workers at the Cingular Wireless call center in Colorado are new members of Local 7702. Over 400 city employees in Lawton, Oklahoma, are now members of AFSCME after a drawn-out legal battle. Other AFSCME wins include in the state of Illinois, approximately 650 state workers, Christian County probation officers, Kankakee County health department nurses and other workers, Cook County Sheriff's correctional lieutenants, nurses and other health workers at the Normal campus of the Illinois State University. Over 360 correctional officers in Lexington, Kentucky have voted to join the Communication Workers of America. Also, deputy sheriffs that work as court bailiffs in Clark County, Nevada have chosen to join the CWA. In New Jersey the CWA now represents more than 500 state workers that were previously ineligible to unionize. Approximately 140 workers that make electrical equipment at Milbank in Concordia, Missouri have voted to join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Workers at New Process New Steel in Butler, Indiana are now members of the International Association of Machinists. Other workers joining the IAM are stock clerks at U.S.Airways/America West, baggage handlers at BBH Services at Toronto International airport, and workers at Trans-Sol Aviation Services in Quebec. More than 2,200 locked-out workers at AK Steel Corp. in Middletown, Ohio, are now members of the International Association of Machinists following a recent election. The workers, members of the Armco Employees Independent Federation, voted to affiliate with the IAM. In Long Beach, Califfornia, 409 city workers—including librarians, physicians, nurses and analysts—joined IAM District 947. In Albuquerque, New Mexico, 35 flight simulator technicians at Lockheed Martin voted to join IAM, as did four flight technicians at DynCorp International in San Diego and 10 workers at the Bechtel Bettis Laboratory in Idaho Falls, Idaho. At Mercy Hospital in Moose Lake, Minnesota, 29 licensed practical nurses voted to join AFSCME Council 29. Twenty-four child-care workers at Hunts Point, New York Day Care voted to join AFSCME District Council 1707. In Crawford County, Iowa., 23 road workers signed up with AFSCME Council 61, and 19 municipal workers in Boardman Township, Ohio, voted to join AFSCME Council 8. In the third consecutive win for workers at auto glass manufacturer PPG Industries Inc., 100 workers at the company’s plant in O’Fallon, Missouri voted to join the United Auto Workers. The 44-member Rochester, New Hampshire Police Union voted unanimously to join the New England Police Benevolent Association / International Union of Police Associations. More than 7,000 New Jersey home child care workers officially won union representation last week, when Gov. Jon Corzine (D) signed an executive order granting the workers union bargaining rights. Following a two-year legal battle, some 280 city employees in Enid, Oklahoma became the first group of workers to win their union voice with AFSCMEunder a new state law allowing municipal workers in cities of more than 35,000 residents to join unions. In Rhode Island, 45 employees of the town of New Shoreham recently voted to join AFSCME Council 94. The International Association of Machinists union reports a trio of worker wins: In Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, some 330 workers at Defense by Defense Support Services LLC voted to join IAM District Lodge 1. The workers maintain weapon systems for the Department of Defense. The 121 employees of Jacobs Sverdrup who work at the Stennis Space Center in Bay St. Louis, Miss., cast their votes for IAM District 73. At Auto Truck Transport in Cleveland, Ohio, 10 clerical workers voted to join IAM.

In another victory for workers seeking a voice at work with Communication Workers of America, 140 members of the Professional Staff Association at the Boston Public Library voted to affiliate with CWA. In Fowlerville, Michigan, 71 workers at the Meridian Automotive plant joined IUE-CWA, the union’s industrial division. In Paducah, Kentucky, 54 workers at DirectTECH SW voted to join CWA Local 6320. Some 350 workers at PPG Industries’ Evansville, Indiana plant voted to join the United Auto Workers. The Indiana production and maintenance workers’ June 28 vote came just days after PPG auto glass workers at the Crestline, Ohio, plant chose the UAW. Bakery department workers at Houston, Texas Fiesta Mart chain of grocery stores recently voted to join the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers. About 100 pilots at CanJet Airlines, a regional airline in eastern Canada, voted to join the Air Line Pilots Association. Forty workers at AHNTECH at Fort Stewart, Georgia won International Association of Machinists representation after the company voluntarily recognized their choice to join the union after they signed recognition cards. The workers maintain the fort’s live firing ranges. In Southwestern Illinois, 29 workers at four auto dealerships and at Scott Air Force base joined IAM in recent organizing wins.

Workers employed by Hospital Parking Management in the Detroit, Michigan area, voted to join Teamsters Local 283. The Service Employees International Union has been certified as the bargaining agent for the janitors that toil at the University of Miami, Florida.

At Unity Hospital in St. Paul, Minnesota, 460 registered nurses chose the Minnesota Nurses Association. The election capped a six-month campaign conducted under a neutrality agreement between the hospital and the MNA that allowed the nurses to make their choice of union representation with the harassment and intimidation many workers face in organizing drives. MNA is a member of the American Nurses Association and United American Nurses. In Crestline, Ohio, workers at PPG Industries Inc. voted to join the United Auto Workers. The 260 new union members are production and maintenance workers at the plant, which produces glass for several automakers. Some 100 satellite TV installers in the Tampa, Florida area voted to join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. The workers are the first group of an estimated 1,000 installers at MasTec fighting to a win a voice at work. Also, a dozen sales workers at Qwest Communications in Montana joined IBEW when the company voluntarily recognized their choice to join a union. Several groups of workers recently voted to join the International Association of Machinists, including 24 aircraft technicians at DTS Aviation Services in Fort Worth, Texas; 13 municipal water, sewer and road repair workers in Runnemede, New Jersey; and seven production workers at BEKO Membrane Technology in Bend, Oregon who make air compressor filters. North of the border, 48 welders, technicians, pipe assemblers and other workers at Howard Marteen Co. in Pickering, Ontario, voted for IAM representation. In Pueblo, Colorado 31 drivers for the Senior Resource Development Agency voted to join the Amalgamated Transit Union. The drivers provide transportation for area seniors on special lift buses and also provide rural transportation.

In Maryland, the 1,300 personal home care workers in Baltimore and Montgomery counties who provide in-home care and assistance to seniors, people with disabilities and others won bargaining rights through majority sign-up. Under majority sign-up, workers win their union voice and rights when a majority sign authorization cards. The new AFSCME members in Maryland are the latest winners in the union's Maryland Homecare Campaign. Meanwhile in Franklin County, Ohio, 870 family child care providers joined Child Care Providers Together / AFSCME, after the county commission recognized their majority sign-up cards. They join the 1,400 in-home child care providers who have signed up with AFSCME in Lucas and Cuyahoga counties recently. Theater workers in Akron, Ohio; Atlanta, Georgia and Toronto, Ontario, Canada; chose the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees recently. At the University of Akron, costume shop workers and theater technicians are now members of IATSE Local 48, while hair and make up workers at the Fox Theater in Atlanta won a voice with Local 798. The new Canadian members are the stage employees at the Isabel Bader Theater in Toronto who are now part of Local 58. In Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, 74 workers who assemble concrete pumping trucks at Concord Concrete Pumps voted to join the International Association of Machinists.

At Fort Benning, Georgia 230 workers employed by ITT, a contractor at the U.S. Army base, voted to join the Columbus (Ga.) Metal Trades Council. Eighty small arms repair technicians are new members of the International Association of Machinists, while the remaining skilled trades workers are now members of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Operating Engineers and Sheet Metal Workers. In Iowa, Michigan and Texas, 166 Cingular Wireless technicians and retail sales associates chose to join the Communication Workers of America. In Texas, 66 technicians joined several CWA locals as did 13 Iowa technicians. In Michigan, 87 retail sales associates are now CWA members. In New Jersey, 129 workers at the Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency chose to join the Communication Workers of America under the state’s majority sign-up law that unions mobilized to win last year. In Hamden, Connecticut 104 police officers voted to join AFSCME Council 15. Also, 14 Head Start workers at the Northside Early Childhood Center in Manhattan, New Yorkvoted to join AFSCME District Council 14, and 12 workers at the Cedarberg, Wisconsin wastewater treatment plant voted for AFSCME Local 108. More than 100 workers at bakeries from New Jersey to Oregon voted to join the Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers. In New York, workers at Gertel Uptown Bake Shop in Manhattan, Reisman Wholesale Bakery in Brooklyn and Zomick’s Wholesale Baking in Cedarhurst voted to join BCTGM Local 3. Corrections officers at Puerto Rico’s 456 correctional facilities voted to join Alianza Correccional Unida (ACU) / (SPU) / AFSCME Council 95. The election results were announced March 14, nearly four years after the workers initially voted to join ACU/SPU/AFSCME. This time around, workers voted by 3-to-1 margin for a voice at work. In Santa Rosa, Fla., 534 white-collar educational support workers in the county voted to join the Santa Rosa Professional Educators Local 7455. SRPE is part of the Florida Education Association, which is the merged American Federation of Teachers and National Education Association state teachers’ union. Some 200 technicians with Bechtel Bettis at the Naval Reactors Facility in Idaho Fall, Idaho, voted to join the International Association of Machinists. With a 37–4 vote to join the United Professions of Vermont/American Fderation of Teachers, the academic staffers at Vermont College in Montpelier sent a message that they want to be heard by the school’s management.

Professors and instructors at Western Washington University in Bellingham voted to join the United Faculty of Washington State / American Federation of Teachers / National Education Association. fied in late February. Sixty-six fire and police communications officers for the City of Toledo, Ohio voted to join AFCSME Council 8 recently. At the Cheshire, Connecticut Public Library, 14 workers won a union voice with AFSCME Council 14. In Bronx, New York 12 custodial workers at a new branch of the Bronx Public Library won voluntary recognition from One Source, a private contractor. They are now members of District Council 37. Fifty truck drivers at Pumpernickel Express in Windsor, Conn., not only gained representation with the International Association of Machinists under a voluntary agreement between the union and the company. Also, 35 woodworkers and shipping and receiving personnel at Akima Corp. at the Cherry Point military installation in North Carolina voted to join IAM District 110. The workers package and preserve aircraft parts for the Navy and Marine Corps. Seven bombing range technicians for Arcata Associates at a Navy bombing range attached to the Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, voted to join IAM District 112. Seven office and clerical workers for the Dade County, Florida Association of Fire Fighters Local 1403 voted to join IAM District Lodge 166. Workers at Matthews Ford near Toledo, Ohio, voted to join the United Auto Workers. The 35-person bargaining unit includes auto technicians, service and repair workers, auto body workers and porters.

Ninety workers at the Marion County, West Virginia Senior Citizens Inc. voted to join the United Steelworkers Workers recently. More than 200 workers nationwide recently won a voice with American Federation of Teachers. In the Cuba, New Mexico Independent School District, 125 teachers and paraprofessionals voted to join AFT, as did 42 paraprofessionals of the Barnstead, New Hampshire Educational Support Team. Also, 28 teachers at the Western New York Maritime Charter School in Buffalo won recognition through majority sign-up, in which the employer agrees to recognize the workers' choice when a majority signs authorization cards. In Helena, Montana six pharmacy technicians and clerks at Western Snyders Pharmacy voted for AFT representation. In New York City approximately 1,200 workers at Lifespire, Inc., a human services agency, used the card check procedure to become members of the Civil Service Employees Association/AFSCME Local 1000.

The crew of a low-budget movie production slated for Internet release won a voice at work when the production company signed an agreement with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees last month. As soon as Boston Children's Hospital bought a nonunion medical center in Waltham, Massachusetts, members of the Electrical Workers joined with the Area Building and Construction Trades Council to assist the Waltham maintenance workers in forming a union. On Dec. 15, the eight maintenance workers voted to join International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 103.

In Illinois some 248 clerical, technical and professional workers at the state Toll Highway Authority and 154 accountant supervisors, staff development specialists and public information coordinators in other departments joined AFSCME Council 31 recently. In North Dakota, 100 correctional workers joined Council 59 on Jan. 1. Some 122 technicians, engineers, trainers and warehouse workers at RCN, a Boston-based telecom firm, recently voted to join Utility Workers Local 369. Hundreds of electrical workers in Arizona and Texas will earn union pay and benefits the next time they're on the job, thanks to new contracts signed between eight contractors and International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 640 in Phoenix, Arizona and another contractor with Local 1015 in Weslaco, Texas.

Forty-seven workers at the Central Maine Power Co., voted Jan. 13 to join International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1837. Projectionists for the Toronto International Film Festival voted to join International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 173. The 28 projectionists voted in September, but the ballots weren't counted until Jan. 3 because festival management filed election challenges that were settled the same day.

The 310 registered nurses at Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, Oregon, voted Jan. 11 to join the Oregon Nurses Association / United American Nurses. Nearly 100 nurses, maintenance and service workers at Knife River Care Center in Beulah, North Dakota, a community-run elder care facility, voted to join the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers recently. Also 20 workers at N.E.W. Electric in Gillette, Wyoming and four workers at Saunders Electrical Construction in Cleveland, Ohio chose IBEW.

More than 2,400 Cingular Wireless workers became the most recent to join Communication Workers of America in late December and early January. The new CWA members include 1,288 Orlando, Florida call center workers; 400 retail sales workers at several Pennsylvania locations; 158 sales and customer service workers in Hawaii; 151 retail sales reps in Colorado; 51 retail sales workers in Iowa; and 14 New Mexico sales workers. More than 400 workers in four states voted to join AFSCME recently. In Bellefonte, Pennsylvania 252 nurses, nursing aides and dietary, laundry and clerical workers at Centre Crest Nursing Home voted to join AFSCME Council 13. In Indianapolis, Indiana 111 workers at Wishard Memorial Hospital voted to join AFSCME Local 2065. Also, 31 municipal workers in Two Rivers, Wisconsin and eight employees of the Village of Hustisford voted to join AFSCME Council 40. Twenty-six vocational supervisors in Washington State's Department of Social and Health Services chose AFSCME Council 28. Part-time and adjunct faculty members at Syracuse New York University voted to join Adjuncts United, an affiliate of New York State United Teachers/American Federation of Teachers. Along with part-time faculty members, the 600 teachers include adjunct faculty--professionals outside of academia who teach classes in their fields of expertise. In Hebron, Ohio, 12 automotive technicians at Center City International Trucks joined International Association of Machinists Local 1471.

In New York, 60 food service workers at Cobleskill Auxiliary Services voted to join Civil Service Employees Association/AFSCME. In Tennessee, 278 Shelby County Head Start workers voted to join AFSCME Local 1733 and in Washington, 26 vocational rehabilitation supervisors at the state Department of Social and Health Services signed on with AFSCME Council 28. Some 1,000 registered nurses at Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis won a voice at work with the Minnesota Nurses Association / United American Nurses. At Usinatech in Melbourne, Quebec, Canada, 123 workers joined International Association of Machinists Local Lodge 922 recently.

In Newark, Ohio, 51 Licking County Child Support Enforcement Agency workers voted Dec. 6 to join AFSCME Local 2963. Automotive mechanics, service employees and parts workers at dealerships in Connecticut and Ohio voted recently to join the International Association of Machinists. At Bob Townsend Colerain Ford in Cincinnati, Ohio 23 workers voted to join IAM Local 804 and seven workers at County Line BMW Inc. in Watertown, Connecticut also voted to join IAM.

More than 2,000 workers at Cingular Wireless operations in five states joined the Communication Workers of America last month. In Paramus, New Jersey 872 call center workers joined Local 1101, and 788 retail sales associates at Cingular stores in Texas gained representation with several local unions. Another 195 retail sales workers at Oregon stores chose the union as did 129 Cerritos, California call center workers and 58 retail sales workers at Indiana Cingular stores. Some 500 workers at Church & Dwight Co. in Richmond, Virginia won a voice in the workplace when they voted Nov. 23 to join the International Association of Machinists.

Approximately 4,700 janitors that toil in the office buildings within the City of Houston, Texas, have signed authorization cards joining the Service Employees International Union. Workers at the Petaluma Sheraton hotel in California, have voted to join UNITE HERE.

The International Association of Machinists welcomed 75 new members recently, including 70 workers at the Purewood Inc. plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada, who voted for the union Oct. 17. The new Machinists manufacture wood products. Five mechanics at the Spitzer Cadillac car dealership in Cleveland, Ohio also voted for IAM.

In Bothell, Washington 934 Cingular call center workers joined the Communications Workers of America through a majority sign-up Nov. 4. They will be represented by WashTech/CWA Local 37083 in Seattle. Also, 113 Delaware State Police civilian employees overwhelmingly voted to join CWA Local 1301. Twenty-eight transportation workers at Pace University voted to join American Federation of Teachers Oct. 20. Some 680 school principals, assistant principals and supervisors joined the American Federation of School Administrators in the past year, giving the union a 5 percent boost in membership. Some 80 emergency 911 operators in Tulsa, Oklahoma voted last month to join AFSCME Local 1180. Also, 75 bus drivers for the Portage (Ohio) Area Regional Transit Authority voted for the Ohio Association of Public School Employees / AFSCME Local 4 and 20 cafeteria workers in the Amherst-Pelham Massachusetts Regional Schools chose AFSCME Council 93. Thirty film crew workers at Picture Vision Pictures, in Nashville, Tennessee won representation with the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees Local 492 last month. Also, 14 wardrobe technicians at the Pittsburgh Public Theater won recognition with Local 787.

The International Association of Machinistswelcomed a total of 116 new members recently, including 73 employees of World Yacht in New York City who voted for District Lodge 15. A group of 31 mine workers at Feldspar Corp. in Edgar, Florida voted for the union as did 12 flight simulator operators with L-3 Communications at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Nearly 100 workers at the U.S. Department of Agriculture's operations office voted for a voice on the job through AFSCME Council 26. The office provides facilities management, building maintenance and operation, warehousing, delivery, printing and other services for agencies of the department. The 28 full-and part-time shuttle bus drivers at Pace University in New York City voted Oct. 20 for the Paraprofessionals and School-Related Personnel / American Federation of Teachers.

Some 1,800 workers at several Cingular Wireless call centers and retail stores won union representation with the Communication Workers of America in the last two weeks. In California, 1,600 workers at three call centers and 84 retail sales associates at several Nevada sites won a voice at work Oct. 13 when their choice of CWA representation was certified. In Utah, 88 Cingular retail sales workers chose CWA. More than 900 workers in Washington State recently won a voice at work with the Office and Professional Employees International Union. At Senior Life Resources in Kennewick, 425 home care workers voted to join OPEIU. In Vancouver, 150 home care workers at CDM Services joined OPEIU after an election win, as did 200 employees at Community Health Center La Clinica, which operates several health centers in the state. Also, 200 workers at Visiting Nurse Personal Services have a voice at work with OPEIU after a majority signed authorization cards indicating they wanted to join the union and the employer recognized their choice. LB&B Corp. employees working under a multiyear, multimillion dollar contract with the U.S. Navy voted overwhelmingly Oct. 19 to join International Union of Operating Engineers Local 99. Thirty-two clerical and professional employees of the Illinois Community College Board won a union with the Illinois Federation of Teachers after signing union authorization cards and gaining recognition.

Some 600 clerical employees at the Hennepin County, Minnesota Medical Center formed a union with AFSCME Council 5. With the aid of Spanish union members, the 40 U.S. journalists at the Spanish news agency EFE voted Sept. 29 for The Newspaper Guild-Communication Workers of America. Based in Miami, EFE covers news for a Spanish audience from bureaus in Miami, its U.S. home base, as well as Washington, D.C., and New York City. Some 30 workers at the Kaluakoi golf course on the Hawaiian island of Molokai joined the International Longshore and Warehouse Union recently through a majority sign-up, in which the employer agreed to recognize the union when a majority of workers signed union authorization cards. Employees of the Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic network voted almost unanimously Sept. 20-21 to join the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees. The 44 new union members include such free-lance technicians as technical directors, camera operators, video operators, audio technicians and others.

Another 604 former AT&T Wireless workers, now working for Cingular, chose to become part of a surge of high-tech, white-collar workers joining Communication Workers of America. In Harrisburg, Pennsylvania a large majority of the 452 employees at the Cingular call center signed authorization cards to join Local 13500. In Arizona, some 152 retail sales associates throughout the state gained a voice with locals 7019 and 7026.

Nearly 5,000 registered and certified child care workers throughout Oregon won AFSCME representation Sept. 23 when Gov. Ted Kulongoski signed an executive order recognizing the workers' choice. Three more groups of former AT&T workers now employed by Cingular Wireless chose to join the Communication Workers of America recently. In New Jersey, 185 retail sales associates throughout the state signed union authorization cards to join CWA locals 1101, 1022 and 1023. In New Hampshire, 34 retail sales associates at several locations won a union voice with CWA Local 1400; and 14 network technicians in Wisconsin joined CWA Local 4603. Workers at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, California voted 3-to-1 to join the International Association of Machinists recently. The 97 workers maintain and repair training vehicles for the U.S. military and are employed by L-3 Vertex Aerospace, a group of 31 miners employed by Feldspar Corp.'s Edgar, Florida mine--the state's oldest continually operated mine--voted recently to join IAM Local Lodge 1098. At Ft. Rucker, Alabama 12 flight simulator operators with L-3 Communications Integrated Systems Corp. voted to join IAM District 12; and five airframe and maintenance technicians at DynCorp.'s Cherry Hill, North Carolina plant voted for IAM District 110. In Des Moines, Iowa, 23 electricians at Ace Electric recently won a voice at work with International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 347.

More than 2,000 poultry workers at several Foster Farms' facilities in California won a voice at work with the International Association of Machinists Sept. 16. Some 140 Cingular Wireless retail sales workers around Maryland joined Communication Workers of America Local 2017. In Wisconsin, 42 Jackson County RNs, LPNs and other health care workers voted to join AFSCME Council 40 and 11 workers at the Muskingum County Water Department in Ohio voted to join Council 8.

More than 800 Cingular workers, former AT&T Wireless employees, at two call centers in Greensboro, North Carolina won a voice at work Sept. 9 with the Communication Workers of America Local 3607, and all 41 assistant prosecutors in the Mercer County prosecutor's office won a union voice with CWA Local 1034.

In Pajaro Valley, California 75 Migrant Program Head Start staffers won a voice at work with American Federation of Teachers last month when the school district recognized their choice to join a union. The United Steelworkers and the National Pharmacists Association (NPhA) announced Sept. 6 they are forming a joint Pharmacists Council.
